Author was so sweet to send across a signed copy :). It made me very happy to see the personal touch !

This is a book that tells the need for people to look deep into the world of Child and Female abuse not only outside in the world but that resides in the domestic corners of a home .

It tells about the difficult life of a traditional Bangladeshi women through the tale of a young 6 year old girl "Ranya " from Bangladesh who resides in Dubai with her parents and also visits Bangladesh.

Parents are supposed to be the safest place a child runs to in need but her case is different . Her Father tormants her with abuses almost treating her as a slave. When she can atleast expect the closest person of a girl's life "Her Mother" to be there , She is too aloof and busy with her own lifestyle and cruel. When she thinks she will be atlast break the chains of pain and be free at her Brother's home in London now , She gets to see another world there. Her world is getting difficult day by day by all the domestic misogynistic violence.

Will she atlast fail and give in into Arranged marriage too and be into another round of abuse ? Will her Education help? How will she come out of this ?

The various twists and turns are heart wrenching , they are very relatable to the things we see and hear .The problems Cultural minorities go through in a foreign land is also shown .I liked the beautiful descriptions of the Religious culture , but also the backward mind set of society prevailing yet in our world. The agony of being a mistreated woman in a patriarchial society is painted effectively. The plot though focuses mostly on Traditional Bangladeshi culture but such events can easily be found in many other countries , different religions and cultures but are not widely discussed due to culturally and socially maintained taboos.

The narration is breezy and moderately paced .

Language I found is lucid.

Small chapters are easy to read.

Capturing plot that carries important messages.
Author is very talented , lives in London and herself is a beautiful Bangladeshi woman with insights into present scenario of cultural mindsets and a good grip on the language.

Cover ,page , font quality etc great .
