The Baby Burped on My Battleddress : by Mr. Sanjay Tewari

The Baby Burped on My Battleddress : by Mr. Sanjay Tewari is an amusing account of the lighter side of life of an Navy  commodore . The narrative style is very witty  and kept light . With detail intensive paragraphs , the backdrop , characters involved and the incidents could be easily visualised. Imagination and a smooth flow and unfolding the funny moment at a correct time are the keys to a good humourous plot and this book did touch all of them.  These are real incidents so they felt more interesting.  I specially liked the chapter named Shopping at the Canteen where different members of fauji families who come  as buyers to army canteen were discussed in a jocular way describing the peculiar behaviours of each. From joining the training institute , adapting the tenacious new timetable and ways ,  transferring to new locations , getting married , families reaction to new places , army kids traits and adjusting with the new changes , his work as a serviceman

Pilgrim Nation by Devdutt Pattanaik

Definitely this book felt quite insightful. I am an agnostic right now. And not really feel interested to read mythology . But if it's books of devdutt Pattanaik I like to pick it up as his narration is very lucid and I like how he puts forward the facts.  _______________ Book : Pilgrim Nation , Hardcover. Author : Devdutt Pattanaik  Publisher : Aleph Book Company  _______________ In this book 32 pilgrimage sites are written about. The brief history of behind each of them with the mythical characters involved it enriched my knowledge. For example, I liked reading about Dakshineswar temple and Rani Rashmoni who built it. She was a strong woman leader who supported women empowerment in Kolkata during British Raj.  Next I liked reading about Taj Mahal. Yes the author described Taj Mahal as pilgrim site rather than just a tourist place because it's sacred. And also took up the hot topic of what few mythologists believed it once was Tejo Mahalaya.

Fosters of Fall proved to be an excellent read.
