When The Devil whispers ( By Ajinkya Bhasme ) : Book Review

Today I will talk about a book whose cover will not fail to catch your eyes at the very first sight ! And of course the title is suspenseful and absoluteky quirky. Author : Ajinkya Bhasme Book Length : 254 pages Price : 290/- Publisher : Notion Press Genre : Fiction - Crime Thriller The mysterious events start from the very first page where a lady is trapped in a wet , dark , isolated dungeon. The torture is gruesome. The very mention of the fact that this story is inspired by real life events made it a more engaging read . Either she is in her dream or she is having hallucination of some kind with a brutal supernatural type of force in her vicinity. It seems first like a horror story but then the plot twists into something different , intriguing with thrilling and bone chilling crime mystery. The characters are described well by author Ajinkya Bhasme with the backdrops and situations of investigation and search by police are aptly narrated. The narration style is actually commendab

This book is true beauty ! Written by Madam Mary Robinson who served as UN Secretary General 's social envoy on Climate Change and was the president of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human rights. She has been awarded US presidential Medal of Freedom and Charleston John Maynard Keynes Prize 2019. So you know you get the authentic data from genuine person who was actually in charge of this arena. Your Destination has Arrived ( By author Barry Cheema ) : A beautiful story that revolves around a Dog's life !

This book's plot and concept is everything and of course the narrating style . A Dog that served police for long gets blessed or cursed ? ( you determine that ) to have a human life . But he gets it on a condition that is his soul now will have a body and mind of a terrorist. So what new challenges he faces in this totally opposite world ? How he conprehends whats right and wrong with a subconscious mind ? The story starts with a suspenseful event. Then slowly as the chapters progress you see bruno meet almighty god , that part is nicely narrated, how he goes through philosophical and spiritual changes and through all these the author has sent messages of importance of positivity , truthfulness , unconditional love, honesty , etc. There are lessons to be learnt about life through this book as it revolves around the most faithful and the most unfaithful beings on earth and a shift from one to another is not only intriguing but mischivous at times. Author played nicely with his imagi

Knots ( Poetry Anthology by Deblina Bhattacharya ) - Book Review

This book is a collection of author Deblina Bhattacharya's various poems. It has plethora of verses and verses dedicated to one's emotions . In our lives we create connections , few knots and some break apart . These poems ranging from heartbreaks , unrequited love , separation from one's lover , an underlying wish to be remembered , lonliness , betrayals , a sister's love , some other relatable events in lives of all women like taboos related to Menstruation and beyond that . Nicely arranged in parts. Few rhyme few donot. Some are like little proses and one liners . Few quotes by famous authors like C.Slewis and Mark Twain are also included. Simple illustrations are added in between. The poems are simple but they tell one's heart's desires . They are relatable. Some good allegories are used. But are very lucid so even if are new to poetry you will understand the correlations made.I loved the poems Seasons of Love , Red particularly. Very thoughtfully written a

Who Wants to Marry a Mamma's Boy and other stories - Book review

I like short stories. Authored by Mrs.Manjula Pal this book with a satirical title and artistic cover is a collection of total 8 short stories. Priced at 195/- within 118 pages they are about different women who act contrastingly in similar situations. Human emotions are complex and actions taken differ from person to person. The stories revolve around love , guilt , friendship , marriage , family life , age related gender bias , relationships along with one's life's choices in arenas of academics and career . Many a times in dilemma , few women compromise hugely due to societal pressure but again few stubbornly move forward caring about nothing. Let me talk about two stories My first love affair revolves around the dilemma of a woman who even after several years of arranged marriage quitting her job , remembers her first love. She still keeps those memories of how unrequited love felt and those sudden twists came in her early life , intact in her memories and in a diary .

From Vedanta to Whatsapp ( Book Review )

This book exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be a normal non fiction that would talk about how life is changing with the proceeding of the years. But this book has lot of things to offer via short stories with life's amazing lessons. These stories are real life stories of world's most famous people who were from Victorian era to present day successful people which tell us believing in ourselves is the best thing we can do by changing perception that we donot need to think in a rigid way conventionally most people think do. Positive thinking , being persistent in what you love , understanding your strengths and weaknesses , accepting rejection but still walking forward with a creative mindset can let us achieve success . The stories are really beautifully compiled. A must read. The real life stories of such eminent people who failed , got rejected , society put them into defined cages but they kept hope , abd they did what they wanted to do, passion matters. These wil
