ARC Asylum by Prateek Joshi

ARC Asylum by Prateek Joshi is the second book by the author whose first debut poetry book ,  I read two years back named Anatomy of Self Indulgent Moongazer and found it quite different than most books in the market on poetry.  It had a unique composition and thoughtful one liners. Similarly this book is a conglomeration of paragraphs mostly in the form of journals from the date March 27, 2020 to August 19,2020.  These lines speak thoughtfully and give some important message to the readers.  Theres a feel of melacholy and nihilism in the lines but then they conclude to something else that leaves us contemplating about our inner and the outer world.  It's a collection that is not meant for all because you need to dive deep to comprehend the meanings hidden in each line.  Here is the blurb:  Can deep contemplation give rise to macabre visions? What happens to the attempts of resolving a deranged mind? Some men go through spirals of Dec

Gypsysoul vol.3 by Sumitra Biswal

You wish to hang?  Hand around with your inner self You wish to drown?  Drown in books and music You wish to shallow? Shallow down your pain You wish to jump? Jump off your self pity You wish to slay?  Slay the weakness within You wish to kill? Kill the Devil inside you You wish to leave?  Wish to live - You Wish ( Gypsysoul vol.3)  _______________ Gypsysoul by author Sumitra Biswal is a bundle of soulful poems. It's the 3rd volume and I am happy pick it up after reading vol 1 and 2.  Emotions and thoughts require an open sky like butterflies. If they get trapped inside like butterflies in a jar the soul suffocates and dies.  This collection is an attempt to Frey express one's emotions and thus present the feelings to the world so more can relate to them and feel better.  This book needs to be relished. It's a short collection though with only 18 such pieces. What I like about her poetry is that they are rhymic. And this is my go to style for poetry.
