Many of you who donot get much time in your daily routine can still enjoy stories by indulging into reading short tales. Short story books give us an opportunity to enjoy stories which we can complete faster but again enjoy the reading experience.  Here is one such book with 18 beautiful short stories that I would definitely recommend you all.  How to prepare for the end of the world and other stories by Ateesh Kropha These stories range from an array of different themes and topics. Let's talk about the first story Marigolds,  which talks about how memories make our life beautiful even if the actual person is not present anymore. It definitely won touching my heart and brought in a myriad of emotions. The next one Elephant in the house spoke about the horrendous treatment wild anals go through due to the apathetic nature of human beings. But does nature forgive them? Every action has its repercussions. This story carries great social importance.

Silent Fires by Poojitha G Prasad

Silent Fires By Poojitha G Prasad  For thriller lovers here a book that is bound to keep you engaged till the very end. Two brothers having entirely different attributes are engaged in a mysterious case for the  search for the wife of a superstar who vanished suddenly while on a trip. Ashish is a renounced police officer. He is intelligent but charged with excess of ego, arrogancy and short temperament. When he can only think of one suspect Mavan, his brother accompanying him in the search for clues and taking  photographs of the crime scenes, with his calm mind  provides more angles to the case.  I like India based backdrops. It just makes the stories more easily imaginable.  As the story glides with an  encapturing pace the sudden twists constantly add more intriguing elements to the plot making it a riveting read.  This story also touches upon a social issue. The narration pours in more enigma when at some point every character seems like a guilty participant

Einstein ka Ankaha Siddant by author S. S. And what was the undeclared decision of Eistein in all these turns?  Are there any threats from terrorist groups or from another planatary lives? Some chapters also have few black and white pictures included.  A lot

The Path of Sukshmaloka by Nihar Bhonsule

After reading the story of The Path of Sukshmaloka by Nihar Bhonsule I came to realise that this book is not merely meant for reading entertainment but the story has beautiful life lessons inscribed inside an intriguing mythology blended fantasy plot but also it made md contemplate  about the concept of the soul transition and time.  Three timelines run parallely.  The story starts with rakshasas devoring every living being in the distant future. Another clan with the dust man and the street archer poured my blood, sweat, and tears to bring back balance.  Will they loose hope before the prophecy about the alpha and weeping out his progency comes true? Shall they wait or search for the one?  The story reels back to three thousand B.C. where a warrior looses his only son when a demon nests inside his soul. The Dharmayodhaas are trying to  protect the last gift of Krishna: The Sanatan Dharma. While he feels defeated he is instructed to take a strange ac

Letters To You by Myoho- A story I loved reading

"Denial of self expression is inviting death". - Letters to you, Page 210. I just finished reading Letters to You by Myoho . When I started it, thoughts started blooming in my mind and as I landed on the last line, my mind was a garden full of questions, wonders and a feel of melancholy alongside another perception towards love.   It is a LGBTQ romance fiction. This is only one of those couple of books that made me explore into this part of the genre more.  The plot is very realistic. A story of many but seldom they  reaches the world's ears.  When a society is so rigid in its notions of lifestyle, I feel sad, people miss the wonderful opportunity to perceive love in its different hues in all of which it reigns and thus parts of the souls die. A pre-teen with a sexual ordeal, a defiant soul underneath, married and confused about the world yet understands her hearts songs. A young one with conformist attitude yet lost in the mist of th

A Higher Conversation: Another Way to Be Human by Mr. Neil David Chan

I believe in our lives getting connected with our souls and having an inner conversation is a very important step towards a meaningful development. It helps us welcome the vast knowledge of our universe. I truly loved reading this gem of a book: A Higher Conversation: Another Way to Be Human  authored by Mr. Neil David Chan. A self that is aware, intelligent and has the ability to understand the real essence of life beyond what meets the common eyes shattering the common notions which divide humanity are our higher selves, I believe.   I felt very happy as I received a signed copy from the author directly! Each chapter here is like parts of a spectrum presenting us an array of thoughts to be contemplated upon erasing beliefs settled like dust inside and outside stopping us to become one with the nature. The pages are like small boxes of wisdom. You read each and the lessons nourish your soul. That's why it is not a typical

CONVERSATIONS WITH A GHOST by Niramin

CONVERSATIONS WITH A GHOST  Author: Niramin ( Shashwat Ratna)  This was a fun read for me. Though the story was built upon a much unconventional theme like conversing with a non being like a ghost but it had a lot of philosophical subjects to discuss about.  Niramin was going for a walk  when he comes upon the death liar. He never imagined but an apparition came across him.  What made them start their conversation and what they discussed was not only fun but also insightful.  They discussed about this pandemic, their perspection about  the different philosophies of eastern and the western world, interpretation of happiness, the real essence of buddism and how the present world has manipulated the real message of it, the different mythological beings and religious rituals of castism and gods and goddess to the planning of welcoming the construction of phART.  But what is PhART you ask? Why not read this book which is a very short read of 2

GypsySoul : A bundle of soulful poems ( Volume 2) by Sumitra Biswal

GypsySoul A bundle of soulful poems ( Volume 2) is a beautiful collection of poems by the poetess Sumitra Biswal  If you follow my posts you might already known I like to read and write poems. There are various styles in poetry but I prefer rthymic styled classic ones over freestyles ones and this book fulfills that. There are only handful of poems in this edition. They all contain some purposeful messages unlike few thick books having myriads of poems half of which don't make much sense. With colourful illustrations added on each page dancing over a spectrum of thoughtful themes this makes a beautiful poetry book. These pieces portraying different phases of life and aspects of emotions like old age, past memories, family bonds, being hopeful, self time, anthropomorphism, nature's essence to destructive humanity they poems being simple yet with lovely allegory easily sips into your skin and make your soul travel to another land of contemplati
