Woof Woof Jupiter by Deepannita Chakraborty

Woof Woof Jupiter is a beautiful picture book with a lovely story for kids! As an adult I totally love indulging into simple, sweet stories that freshens up my mind remimding me childhood is the sweetest time of anyones life.  If the stiries revolve around animals and nature, it feels like a cheery on top. As an animal lover I absolutely adore such books that lets children develop empathetic feelings for our mother nature.  I love Dogs. At my home , we have our sweet member, a labrador retriever, named Ronny. He is my everything.  This storybook named Woof Woof Jupiter by Deepannita Chakraborty  @thekidsreadinghive is about a puppy named Jupiter who was born on streets, fed milk by the nearby kind tea stall owner and was having a good time with his young sublings. But he ended up in a very different place later on in his life. This journey though short lets kids understand dogs too have feelings, we got to be kind to them and there are people out there who do tr

The Brown Sunshine by Arvind Rishi

Who else is a psychological thriller lover ?  I absolutely root for such books if the plot is quite a roller coaster ride. So, here I am sharing a book by author Arvind Rishi. The Brown Sunshine is a very interesting  psychological thriller that goes deep into the complexities of human emotion and existence. I really like such books where we learn more about how humans act in some complex situations!  Anthony Biswas is the protagonist , he grapples with haunting memories and personal demons and this will surely invite  readers to empathize with his struggle to navigate a world tainted by past trauma.  Past traumatic events are in a big way responsible for how most of us act.  Arvind Rishi has taken time to  intertwine the realms of reality and dreams. It is a haunting mystery that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.  The existential questions raised in the narrative provoke profound introspection, making this a thought-provoking and compelling read.

Dogged Pursuits by Raghavan Srinivasan

I have read two books by author Mr. Raghavan Srinivasan. He basically enlightens readers about historical events in India through his books.  One of his  previous books,Rajaraj Chola was  truly knowledgeable for me. He has great knowledge about historical events in India. Recently his fiction book came out and I was very interested to read it.  Let me share about it here.  Dogged Pursuits by Raghavan Srinivasan is a  bio-historical fiction. This one is the first volume of a 2-part series. After reading this book I am eagerly waiting for the second part.  This one is set against the backdrop of Madras during the late 1920s onwards.  The engaging plot made it a very thrilling read.  Basically the narrative follows Raju, a posthumous child, through his trials and tribulations in a rapidly modernizing Madras, spanning four decades. Author has added good character depth. It is easy to relate to them and walk in their shoes while reading the story. Raju, the main prot

Dancers in the Dark by author Ejaz Ahmed

Dancers in the Dark by author Ejaz Ahmed is an truly an exquisite literary journey that delves into the depths of societal prejudice and self-acceptance.  No I am not exaggerating!  Although I'm not revealing much about the story, the themes it addresses are significant. They provoked me to contemplate.  I strongly recommend this book to everyone. The author shows great promise in the literary world, and I'm excited to read more from them in the future! The story follows seven-year-old Kalki, whose resilience in the face of discrimination due to her dark complexion is both heartbreaking and inspiring.  Truly heartbreaking as some of the finest people, I have met having dark complexion are the most beautiful ones inside out.  I being a medium complexion havenot spared me from getting demotivating comments from my near and dear ones.  Coming to the story, with her brother Karthi, they embark on a poignant quest to alter her appearance, inadverte

I Write Since You Exist by Suraj Prakash Behera

I Write Since You Exist by Suraj Prakash Behera ( Instagram - @archivedheartspeaks001 ) is a lovely  collection of Poems, short stories and some really intriguing chat styled short tales. To start with I really liked the mesmerizing cover. It looks quite gorgeous.  This book is divided into 2 sections. Poems and Short stories with intriguing chats. The poems section has 7 types of themes.  They range from themes like unconditional love, resilience, corporate life, mother's love and some other aspects of life.  I liked the very first title poem- 'In Words I wrote, your presence finds its worth'.  It had that rhymic classic style that I really like in poetry. Next the poem, 'What is Love' was something that lets readers ponder upon. Few were free styled poems too. The poem named 'Man: The Ache Within' lets us contemplate as well.  Now coming to the second section of short stories and Intriguing chats, I would say, I really li
