Pebbles on Paper By Swati Khatri

This is an anthology of poems and few brief essays . Each section has 4-5 poems. There are about 59 pages.  First part is about life. Time changes and everything changes with it. Our habits change so does our perspective. Adjustment is the new constant.

In second part author tells how creation of art moulds the residing  pain inside into a  beautiful and meaningful shape. Art provides us relief.

In the "Thoughts" section author briefly tells about her to and fro nature of thinking process and an empty feel or void in her heart. We all have experienced it one or the other time in our lives.

In the pain,  heal and thrive section she describes about scars from  betrayal , long-lost joyous inner child and the process of healing that is to be trusted with patience. There are three essays followed by few more essays of Participation and winning. She asks readers to keep hope and listen to our guts while on the path of success rather than being ears to all.

I loved the poems in Love section. The poems have that old school styled , sweet and simple emotions yet so pure. Just like movies from the years of millennials and extactly after that the poems that could be related by most 1990s kids are put forward with themes of difficulty arising with adjusting casual dating and relationships , suffocating anxiety and different other things.

Crisp rthymeful poems on relatable circumstances. Very lucid, not metaphorically put. Everybody can decipher their meanings easily. Sweet and simple ! I loved them so much.

My rating 4.5/5 ⭐
