Title - I am also a Human - The voice of Inner soul.
Author - Jasbir Singh
Book length - 136 pages

It is the story of a person not very different from all of us named Zeenat except whose parents wanted a boy while she came out to be a girl but later was abandoned in an orphanage as they found out she is a transgender.

The hardship of growing up as a third gender in a society where even the second gender gets less respect , going through rape by her trusted people , becoming a sex slave at brothel with a heart that really has not much difference than any of us is a extremely painful situation for ones who are even abandoned by their own parents just because they cannot carry a child in future and our cultural society will mock. What a shame !
Language is very lucid but at few places lacks depth and effectiveness though efforts and emotions are put enough.Narration could have been better but considering being a young man at a tender age of 22 has authored this book , I feel amazed and highly appreciate him to have taken time to write a book on such a topic that needs so much attention. It breaks my heart to see plight of the 3rd gender.

Characters are nicely developed.
Narration is fast paced and author has taken time to waive the situations a transgender person goes through in an unjust society even after having laws , twisting it in a tale carrying suspense , action and heart warming moments showing some people are still there who love a person just for their soul irrespective of looks , gender and harsh past.
Love , affection and understanding that a person is a human first of all than comes the nationality , gender , knowledge , etc and not differentiating anyone in terms of respect , love , opportunities and dignity based on their birth are much needed and this story focuses on that very well.
All in all a good read.
I rate it 4/5
PS - Stop calling or moking by saying tu to hizra hain , Tu to kutta hain... cuz If you utter such things , you gotta know Hizras and kuttas are better than you.
