The work mesmerized me from its engraved cover to the unexpected twistful end ! For an impatient reader like me who gets bored easily not a single page felted draggy but smooth. It shows the lifestyle of nomadic tribes of interior Rajasthan. Bhaundri is cat eyed dark skinned girl but very storng headed girl who was married in childhood to a boy.
As they attend youth , her young extremely handsome husband brought her after wedding .While everything looks dream come true, slowly the obscure life of each start unfolding .

It was like watching them in person . The everyday routine of such a household through different seasons filled with turns were intricately described. I loved the strong headed characters of Bhaunri , her ma and her father in law. Within 150 pages , this story touches upon different aspects of human relations and emotions .
Depth of connection between different relatives , Carnal desires , disloyality , marital rape , abuse in such social arrangements where patriarchy and castism is rules , myths , folklores , nomadic cultures , historical events dating back to Sultan dynastry ( It is not mughal as its mentioned but it should be Alauddin Khalji about Chittor war but I guess it was created to show stories get altered passing through ears & ages , and ignorance of the villagers ),fight for someones rights . But the main point here revolves around the different shades of love : One which can be stubborn , intense & create destruction and the other that which can be calmer and ready to bear all wrongs.Which one is actually pure ? Which one is too much and actually damaging ? It makes the reader decide that finally.
