Shhh ! Don't talk about Mental health - By Arjun Gupta (Book Review)

Authored by Mr.Arjun Gupta this book talks extensively about the need to focus our attention towards the much needed topic that needs discussion of wellbeing of a person in is mental state .

He has touched upon diverse subjects from neurology , psychology and social stigmas associated with this. From Sigmund Freud's eminent theories to szezes beliefs , he has blended the discussions and put his own conclusions in a way that creates a easy path for readers to understand what does WHO describe Mental health as. Why discussing mental health is not only about talking about various mind illnesses but helping each other out as a community and not outcast anyone on basis of this.

I personally believe that like physical parts like digestive system, eyes, limbs which if gets ill we go to doctors easily and nobody tells us oh its just your broken leg just walk and it will get ok , but if we need to have a clinical diagnose of our mind's state people attach the taboo of being MAD and sometimes put vague tips like sleep well and just go out and you will be okay , its just in your mind and nothing else... and instantly you become not fit for all social and other engagements and inclusions.. These adds up to depression , anxiety , rejection and many consider social exclusion and suicide. So realising mental health is so crucial needs to be taken as a social awareness drive now.

I appreciate author for including experimental facts and data along with making readers aware of few Indian acts that give patients right to choose too if they want any clinical procedure to be done on them or not.
