Seven Sundays: One Life, Two Journeys, Seven Failures by Mr.Shouvik Banerjee

This is a nice book . Through a fiction it provides us tips to improve our mindset and thoughts. Alok is in his forties. It is stack of failures that look upon him now. He left his job thinking his start up will grow but it failed. Soon his wife Sheila with their kid Nemo leaves. All these takes a big toll on Alok.

Amidst all this depression a stranger visits him out of the blue. Introduces him as Brigesh his college mate whom  Alok cannot even remember of. But soon he asks Alok to play a game where he tells him a story of a ficticious fantasy land with a man named amal . He continues it when he visits Alok every Sunday and asks Alok to draw conclusion after each session. The story has different chapters .

Each with different aims and purpose for readers. I liked how Amal's life and Alok's changing ways were analogous . All of them conclude to a arranged summery .

All these sessions lead to some life changing incidents . Very thoughtful book that actually holds meaning and value for readers. A blend of fiction and nonfiction .

If you want to be in castle up the heavens you need to see what mindset you need , you have to climb  the hills like Amal , encounter magicians , veiled people ,go through hardships but not succumb to pressures in the way. Why Animesh helped Alok , who is actually he , what is his purpose behind all of these ? The last letter by him on the way to Dubai was deeply thoughtful .
