Book Review : Orange Hues and Midnight Blues

This is a debut book by the author Urvisha Vinit . It is an anthology of 77 poems that flow across different aspects of life. The cover uplifts the mood already. And the title is catchy and witty. These poems are first person narrated about longing , desires and never ending wishes  for the lost lover  .

Silent promises , calm nights  and some unfulfilled dreams. We can find more of melancholic and nostalgic feel to them .

Through other poems the author expresses about the realization in life that time stops for none , the agony of not being able to keep the gone days alive and that few unpleasant memories are stone craved inside our memories.

Each poem is short , simple and relatable . They talk about finding one's own identity in this world , to understand your own soul better  , becoming confident , to own yourself , to realize the centers of our happiness lie within us and again amidst the inner chaos and outer struggle that she kept  holding on to hope  .

There are two poems about unconditionally loving mothers and grandmothers as well. These poems can be read at night or during evening tea time to feel refreshed or may be to touch nostalgia .

As a reader I could relate to them and also I observed these poems will be liked by most age groups but people who are into their teens and early adulthood will like them more  because the romance that's been described here carries the initial longing , wishes and the fairy tale lightness.

They are soothing , calming , lucid to understand , don't have much of allegory used and few are woven with rhyme styled words.
