Book Review : My Choice Your Choice

Book  : My Choice Your Choice - How to make the right decisions
Author : Alexander Schlafmann
Non fiction ( Motivational Self help )

This book is like a survival guide to cope up with hard times and making better decision.Author Mr. Schlafmann shares  his wisdom explaining his ordeals and mistakes to help people live a better life. It is like he is sitting just next to you  like a friend and having an one to one conversation so that you don't have to go through all the things that he had to , in order to acquire his  wisdom and knowledge.

Sailing through different topics and aspects of life, he explains what things helped him to live properly so that you don't go through all the extreme  bad experiences but still be open to hard times to acquire truth knowledge because overcoming difficulties and solving problems are the keys to it .

The narration is powerful mostly at the places where he tells us to become strong-minded , necessity to reduce ego , selfish needs , carnal desires and plan our time effectively  along with understanding each decision matters , etc.

He had a difficult childhood to start with which made him self dependent  and this opened the door to more wisdom . I felt connected with his honesty.

You should get connected to yourself to walk towards spiritual enlightenment  but at few places it felt  like it's a soliloquy, and he could have given a clear guide for people who would like a step-by-step procedure that would help readers directly.

He has talked about necessity of  detaching ,  to which  I agree with , but losing the full sense of self to not get disappointed by the external forces is hard and I am yet to comprehend its applicability and existence.

I was not able to connect to the last part about secret unrevealing slowly again. But that is how such genres work . We all have different perspectives of the truth.

This book is intended to motivate , instill hope and inspire who are going through  similar difficulties . Knowing about someone's similar experience and their  learnings makes the road easier to walk.
