An Unquenchable Excess of Love

An Unquenchable Excess of Love by Anjutha  Ranganathan  is a collection of plethora of plethora of poems , proses , one liners and few illustrations. ⁣
There are total three parts which describe the author's emotions while swimming through each phase of being in romantic love.⁣
Love is such a profound event that is a collective confluence of different other emotions. ⁣

Part 1 contains  such poems that weaves the blooming of passion , great friendship , bonding, desire , joys when she first encounters love. ⁣
Part 2 revolves around that stage of love when your relationship nears breakage. The push and pull, excess of love that transcends to competition welcoming instability and ends in the agony of separation.⁣

In part 3 the poems speak about the process of healing from instability to stability. When she  lost  someone that was an intregal part of her life these penned down poems lucidly express the unacceptability of that  emotional state that toggled between all ranges of emotions contradicting each other . Later through pain and letting go coming  to the acceptance of it all and welcoming unconditional love.⁣

It contains true emotions.Simple and non allegorical. Easy for all to comprehend. It is mostly about young love that could not get opportunities to fully mature and there remains that guilt and longing in these poems . I prefer poems with rthymic styles.

These are in prose styled.I liked this book.I believe any poem that touches us, tells us a story that we feel similar to what we have experienced and comprehended in our lives at some point.I liked many poems. Some are Language , 2AM , Sweet Ego , etc.⁣
