Another Story is an anthology of poems that again is a joint collaboration of various poet and poetess . I found this book has a very different vibe to it .
In my opinion it is different because although the poems are in lucid language but they are woven with complex emotions .
They are inked with their rawness intact in them . Few are short but many are quite long in length. As a reader I prefer rhyme styled poetry and these not only are based on my preferred style but they again talk about enigmatic aspects of our emotions ,the suffering that accompies mental health and even touch themes like domestic abuse.
Each tell us a story through the lines. Like for instance one tells the live of a woman who in an abusive marriage . 'Falling in Love' a nice one again.Few poems like Another Dose , Monster paint the picture of a person and their rigorous struggle to cope up with their loosing grip of themselves and then again face this dreadful ignorant world in a circle of mental troubles .
Some had curse words. I understand they portray the tiring fight inside and outside . But few felt unnecessary at times and made me feel disconnected as per my ways.
Each of these poems have a very unique title to start with. Most of them carry gloomy hues because they show the dark facet of life when mental health takes a low dive , when you put so much effort into some one or things but get betrayal in return , abuses behind the closed doors and such things expressed in a light floating manner.
They provide us a glimpse of the deep scars one is attempting to let the world know and comprehend through those words so our world becomes compassionate too. That is what I conclude from this collection.
