'Orgia' is the name of an ancient celebration of the Greek God Dionysus and the very essence of Dionysus represents the way a person seeks ecstasy through direct experience or passion.
Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of wine, winemaking, grape cultivation, fertility, ritual madness, theater, and religious ecstasy. What I understood according to my compression ability is that he actually symbolises rebirth, new beginning and hope in the hardest of situations.He had been worshiped as early as 1500-1100 BCE by Mycenean Greeks.
In Orgia Khronicles, author Mr.John has compiled verses, poems, adages, proses, quotes from various books.
Most of them are his own and has his own twists. He is a follower of him. They are philosophical and spiritual lessons towards life inspired by the Greek god and his own real life experiences.His aim is the readers can also feel and understand the essence of life. In my view again, all the content has some unwordly or insane factor or some deeply passionate essence to it all.Each reader shall decide his own understanding.
I liked reading author's own experiences when he tried to meet his own demons and walk towards a path of enlightenment while being incarcerated for twenty three hours lockdown.
I got to know some fascinating facts about lord Dionysus and other ancient myths. I am yet to dive deeply into such mythological subjects but this book was an unique read. Greek mythology is very fascinating one to start with. This book was an intriguing read for me.
