Shimmering Stars of the Dusk by Sudhashree

Shimmering Stars of the Dusk
Authored by Sudhashree

This is a thought provoking short story collection by author Sudhashree. She is a Reiki master, born in Muradabad.
Her vast interest in Science, music and writing has led her to write this book for women centric social causes.

It is aimed at highlighting the mistreatments faced by elderly people in the hands their own children who despite provoding them everything in their lives with love donot receive much care in their later life time.

Through these nine short stories based on different situations and aspects of life, she has put light on the importance of having a beautiful strong family bond. Where elders are respected and children are showed with love, happiness thrives.

Though the book is focused on elder people centric themes, but I found the stories also present the fact that it is important to love your children and in-laws too. So they are heart-warming.

Though they are fictions but based on quite practical situations. Each ends with few thoughtful lines. These moral stories remind young people to be kinder towards their elderly family members when they might come out to be irritable when  lonliness engulfs them result them in they loosing confidence.

At such times they need more love. Few speak about why a married woman shall accept her new family wholeheartedly, consequence of  giving away all fortune in their last days and domestic violence.

All stories basically impart the importance of having a close knit family for a long happy life. I also believe that and that respect is a too way to build a happy family.

All in all a purposeful read.
