Fire Born by Vijay Sohoni

Fire Born by Vijay Sohoni

“Who told you I bought a piece of land and property? I bought back the memories of my ancestors!”

Two and a half thousand years ago on the Konkan coast, a shipwrecked Som is rescued and brought back to life through an ordeal by fire.

He tries to find a new life under the guidance of Guru Parshuram.

As India fights for its independence, an orphaned descendant of Som fights for his right to education.

His struggle leads him from a non-descript village in Konkan to the historical city of Nashik. Will he be successful in his endeavour?

His globetrotting grandson chances upon an ancient clue to his ancestry. He follows in the footsteps of Som in search of the truth. Where will it lead him?

Now If you like such historical fictions I am sure you will find this book very engrossing.

The storytelling definitely has a lot of encaptivating power in it. It is a roller coaster ride and mystery and adventure keeping you hooked till the end. The story glides around various timelines from 50, 000 BC to 2008.

Back and forth but slowly everything starts to link with each other creating a complete picture. Sotuly it is a blend of genres and proved to be an intriguing read.
