The Beautiful Sky by Harshwardhan

The Beautiful Sky
By : Harshwardhan

Are you into love stories? Well this is not a mere lovey dovey style love story but it revolves around some social issues too.

Trigger Warning: Rape, Sexual assaults, trauma.

Here is Vian, the 26 year old lad. He is a writer, poet and a person who dedicated himself for someone from his college life, named Amyra who later will go through a tremendous amount of trauma that my heart wrenches to think about.

Due to their parents denials and traditionalist cultural preference one  decides to separate ways from the other. The break up takes a big toll on them. But as life makes their paths cross once more in a happier way they didnot realise it had some big twisted pains stored in for them. While dreams of a beautiful marriage  kept them in dreams, an unfortunate crime happens and both get physically injured and leave them into a heavy impact emotional and psycological trauma. Amidst all these, when  Amyra's life is in question, what price will Vian pay to God when his own hangs between life and death.

"Together we stay, together we die, where the winds are high under the beautiful sky."

This book has a new fresh outlook.
Writing style is quite fresh. The story is told in proses, paragraphs, verses, poems, hindi shayaris and what not. It is beautiful and definitely engrossing. Few characters use slangs which show their casual attitude amoung friends groups. But I donot find that amusing. That's still fine and can be avoided.
Totally in love with the cover. Timelines are well mentioned. Character development were taken care of. It's a bit thick book but has good pace.

It's a story about perserverence, staying at difficult times, the power of  resilience, love and hope. Deep human bonds, mundane phase of life, unemployment, criminalism, wrong attitude of the society, friendship, trauma and again accepting and healing from the within.

Looking forward to more of his books.
I recommend this book to all love story enthusiasts.
