What the Pandemic Learned from Me
By Anindita Das
Let me take a minute and just tell you that I love the cover presentation with all its vibrant colors! It already brightens up my mood.
A comical take about what we experienced suddenly when we had to lock ourselves down for months with an uncertain future and what we are still going through till today has been presented in satirical and amicable perspectives.
The things that we avoided generally, now became the focus of our lives when we have got so much of time being indoors we have started noticing things and weird behaviours of our loved ones more prominently.
Like for instance people who are very outgoing had to befriend few plants as pets because they need some company of living beings in the lockdown. It is really funny if you have ever noticed that ever after trying all the online hecks still your snake plant feels like a faux piece or your tulsi maiya never grows perfectly like your neighbours.
Work life has never been so different. Now people stay and work from home. The struggle of working at home with kids running around, the vegetable wala shouting can be very irritating and worrying but again it has funny sides to it. Similarly ramblings on the increasing presence of people online and the competition to be addictively fitter, beautiful and have a fake presence has been taken up too.
