2. Tell us more about your latest book.

This book is a collection of poems depicting various emotions as one navigates through life’s journey. The book is organized in five different sections, exploring the themes of adventure, exploration, success, love, loss and hope in verses. The message is simple. Let your inner curiosity lead you to explore, venture out into the unknown territories and ‘feel’ the grandeur of life. Life is too short to live in one frame only. You can be an engineer, an artist or a writer in this one life itself.

3.  Why poetry? I mean what inspires you to write poems.

To answer this, I am reminded of Keating’s character in Dead Poet’s Society who exhorts us , “..that powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse, what will your verse be?”

While a story speaks to your mind, I feel poetry speaks to both your mind and soul.

4. How much time did it take you to write and compile all these poems.

These poems have been written through my college days and into work-life; they gathered further

momentum especially over the last couple of years. Each one of us goes through the phases of life-

school, college, work and eventually find ourselves on a quest for inner fulfillment. I went on a similar

exploration (both literally and metaphorically) and most of these poems are snippets from that journey.

So you see, this book has been in making for the last number of years and during the current lockdown period, I finally got some time to compile and share it with the readers.

5. Is it your debut book and if you have written any other books please share about them.

This is my debut book but the overwhelming response received since the book release has given me impetus to write more books. I have been writing about adventure and exploration on my Medium posts which can be found at https://lalitk06.medium.com

6. Who did you write this book for? *:

This book will appeal to all the young Indians who are raring to grow their wings in an increasingly globalized world as well as it will appeal to the Indian diaspora, spread across the globe who like to connect with their roots
