After a long time I found one such book by an Indian author that I absolutely loved.
This story is very unique and comes with a very important purpose of spreading awareness amoung the youth.
It lets the reader contemplate what is right and what is wrong in our morality, ethics and the system of our society.
The story starts with a class discussion at IITM about if anyone would ever want to marry a rape survivor. Different students shared their own thoughts but it all lead to one of the boys get raped the next day.
Though the story paces as a mystery thriller what I read in the subsequent chapters made me really think truly what is going on in our society.
It touches upon so many important topics like :
✔️the life of a rape survivor,
✔️the fact that criminals may come with their own background,
✔️the shame associated with it all,
✔️the reality of feminismand it's actual importance, ( absolutely found the concept he shared, mind-blowing thinking) ,
✔️that love can come in every shape and sizes, the downside of sharing everything on social media,
✔️what Transgenders face even when they try to rise up in education,
✔️the fact that people say one thing but do another thing when they are actually face to face in such situations.
💫I absolutely adored author's thoughts sprinkled in every chapter. They really resonated with me. I feel like they also provide another perspective to readers.
But lastly the way the story ended proving that really silence has so many secrets hidden behind it made all the puzzles fit in to make it a wholesome complete story.
Don't think twice. Go for it!
