Do you like short stories? I definitely do. In today's overly busy modern life, short stories still provide us with the opportunity to engage into literature.
At first, I thought this was going to be another collection of some very relatable or mediocre stories. But to my surprise, I loved them all! They had well-thought-out plots with heart-touching life instances that show how diverse life can be.
"Slice Of Life" by author Vani is truly wonderful book of short stories. It has warm and witty tales about people, sophisticated emotions binding us together, and our relationships with others, as well as nature and animals.

There are a total of seven stories which range from different themes and have contrasting characters that portray the vast nuances of intricate human relationships and emotions. The hues painted about life in each are so profound yet simple and relatable. I felt the true essence of life in the words.
Some stories talk about arranged marriages, while others have strange and magical happenings. I absolutely loved reading these ones:
"Friend": It's about how pets leave their paw prints in our hearts forever. Recently, after I lost my baby Ronny, I felt like we were on the same path of cherishing their memories and again feeling the pain of separation.
Then there was this story named: "The Last Wish": It was another fantastic, well-thought-out story sharing how many soldiers might have gone through this situation, working in such adversities to take care of their countries. Salute to them!
Another story named: "Super Human," shares what truly matters in life. It is yet another beautiful one.
It seems like the author has taken time to keenly and closely observe the flow of life herself through experiences with people from diverse backgrounds living such moments.
Even I really liked reading "The Healing Garden" and, of course, the very first story named "Mind over Heart," which is the top 10 winning entry by Preeti Shenoy, exploring human emotions deeply.
Thus, as a reader, you will be able to enjoy a range of various themed stories with thoughtful plots. I highly recommend this book for short story lovers!
