The Unscriptured by Sourish Roy

Lately I have been reading this book and what a fascinating book it is.

The Unscriptured by Sourish Roy feels like an mind blowing journey through time and mystery.

It is set against the backdrop of the sylvan lower Himalayan terrains. The read intertwines historical enigmas with a tale that carries modern-day intrigue.

The story begins with a missing relic, crucial for the annual Durga puja celebration in Jalpaiguri, leading to an investigation that uncovers hidden truths from India's past.

As i started reading the story that blends fiction with historical events, it makes me ponder "what if" scenarios involving notable figures like Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, Gandhi, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Truly quite a read that lets us contemplate!

Each twist in the book reveals some  connections between historical mysteries and contemporary events,

Definitely this kept me hooked from the very start.

The rich historical context is really something unique. The book doesn’t just entertain; it educates.

By exploring alternative histories and cosmological events, it offers a unique perspective on Indian history.

This approach makes the book not just a mystery novel, but a thought-provoking read.

Again, the characters are well-developed, and their interactions are believable and even the plot is multi-layered.

I feel readers should pick it up for its intriguing plot, historical depth, and the way it makes history come alive.

I think it proves easily to be a  perfect read for those who love mysteries intertwined with historical fiction that helps us  in exploration of India's rich and mysterious past. Go for it!
