I really enjoy detective stories as I have grown up reading Satyajit Ray’s Feluda and enjoyed them on Radio Mirchi back when they usdd to be broadcasted over F.M. as Sunday Suspense in West Bengal! So, have you ever wondered how a detective can notice things that others completely miss?

 I started reading this story just 4 days ago and completed it fast. And it felt quite engaging, specially I was able to relate to the Kolkata based backdrops as well, thus I am sharing my thoughts here. 

This book follows Detective Victor Chatterjer who is better known as Vik and his younger brother Rik, as they take on five very different and challenging cases. What I enjoyed in this book are that each story is distinct, with its own mystery, tension, and unexpected turn. 

The brotherly bond between Vik and Rik adds warmth to the otherwise suspense filled plots. The clever clue-building keeps the reader thinking alongside the detective. Even the writing makes you feel like you’re right there, observing each scene. The stories explore themes of crime, friendship, trust, betrayal, and the fine line between truth and deception. 

I especially liked how the clues were often hidden in small, everyday details making each reveal satisfying and making me keep searching for them till the very end.

 The pacing was steady, and every case left me curious for the next as each had its set of twists and characters with mind boggling puzzles to solve. If you love detective fiction that blends clever plots with relatable characters, this is one to pick up.
