What would you do if, on your wedding day, a tiger showed up right in the middle of the ceremony? It sounds impossible, but that’s exactly how this wild and wonderful story begins.

Thats what made me read this book and the unique plot pulled me in. I truly enjoyed this freshness, so I’m sharing my thoughts here as a recommendation. I loved the cover art as well, it perfectly matches the playful yet dramatic tone of the book.

The story has the strangest situations but everything feels natural, and before you know it, you’re deeply invested in both the humans and the tiger.

The story weaves together different threads beautifully: Mastaan Singh, a five-year-old tiger, world famous, strong and an impeccable urge to to taste freedom escapes the zoo one silvery night, finally finding what he’s longed for since his mother’s death in forest in the hands of poachers.

Avni, the bride, is being forced into marriage by her controlling father, who believes girls don’t have any life of their own. In his own words- "For girls there is no life of their own!" Just think. I would be furious if anyone tells me that. How backward and dominating!

The tiger’s sudden entry into her wedding throws everything into chaos, of course.

Amit, a teacher who once met Avni, helps her escape, not just from the tiger, but from the life her father has planned for her. Their journey with Mastaan takes them far from the safety of walls, into a world where every choice matters.

The book touches on strong themes like freedom, strong love for life, the fight against patriarchal control, actually any kind of control that dictates us to be like one way but what nature ( heart)  demands is the actual way this stiry reminds us, the courage to rewrite your own story, and our bond with the natural world. It’s also filled with humour, absurd twists, and moments of genuine tenderness.

By the end, Mastaan feels like more than a tiger; he’s a symbol of dignity, wildness, and second chances. I liked the ending as well knowing what happened to all of them.

Only thing that I felt uncomfortable about is the font size- too tiny for me. The storytelling is totally engaging! The language is ornamental and it beautifully captures the scenarios but may come out as arduous for beginners of the language.

Its a fun filled romantic comedy fiction, literally this is an adventurous, heartfelt read. I did enjoy it fully!
