At the same time, Jonathan's ex wife Linda is in North Korea, reporting on important nuclear talks. She starts asking questions, perhaps a few too many. Slowly, their separate stories begin moving towards the same dark mystery. Who is behind everything? What do they want? And how are Ukraine, North Korea and these dangerous people connected? The book keeps dropping little pieces of the puzzle and makes you want to grab the next one.
I found this a gripping international crime thriller with plenty happening across different places. There are spies, politics, technology, danger and secrets hiding behind almost every door. The mystery kept me curious, especially because Jonathan and Linda always seemed one step away from discovering something deadly. If you enjoy thrillers where the stakes keep getting bigger and nobody feels completely safe, this one might just keep you guessing till the end.
