Book Review : Orange Hues and Midnight Blues

This is a debut book by the author Urvisha Vinit . It is an anthology of 77 poems that flow across different aspects of life. The cover uplifts the mood already. And the title is catchy and witty. These poems are first person narrated about longing , desires and never ending wishes  for the lost lover  .  Silent promises , calm nights  and some unfulfilled dreams. We can find more of melancholic and nostalgic feel to them .  Through other poems the author expresses about the realization in life that time stops for none , the agony of not being able to keep the gone days alive and that few unpleasant memories are stone craved inside our memories.  Each poem is short , simple and relatable . They talk about finding one's own identity in this world , to understand your own soul better  , becoming confident , to own yourself , to realize the centers of our happiness lie within us and again amidst the inner chaos and oute...

I read the anthology of poems : Pebbles

This book 'Pebbles'  is a beautiful anthology of poems by the author Swati Khatri . This is the first book . I have actually earlier read the second part 'Pebbles on Paper '  What I like about her poems are  ▪️First they are simple  ▪️Lucid but yet have the perfect amount of allegory which I prefer in poems. ▪️They are written in rhyme style . ▪️Heart complex affairs written in light relatable words. There are three parts in this book :  Self-love  Reflections  Some more  Wonder why the book is named Pebbles ?  According to the author :  " I think life is like the deep sea, which rests on the shore and pebbles are emotions accumulated over time."  And no doubt poems are pieces of work soaked in emotions. The self love section has poems which send message about being strong , trusting your own inner voice , owning yourself and moving forward.  Buying link :  https://amzn.to/3hXjMcS Self love is neces...

Book Review : Every Frame is a Painting

Most books we come across either they anthology of poems or collection of tales. Every Frame is a Painting By the author Abhishek Ghosh  is a book that has short stories, poems and plays (stage dramas).  The genres are vivid. From political issues to comedy they touch upon different aspects of our lives. They are light read , simple and short contents. Not every play or short stories have important messages or lessons to send but for entertainment read as well.  In one play God and Devil has a conversion about their past and later it concludes into oblivion. In another play which shows how colloquial pronunciations can add up hindrances in compression in simple communication between an interviewer and few college students. It was relatable and yes at place it is giggle-worthy.  Later the section of poems is more focused on social issues like today's real face of democracy, freedom of speech and the problems faced by the explosive p...

Observing the world deeply he puts forward different questions. Straight from his birth his high awareness  about transition of soul, feeling misfit and later understanding his purpose.  The narration is truly gripping as it very open, honest and thought-provoking that has power to lead someone to self introspection .  He has talked briefly about his parents, their relationship with each other and him. Not being able to feel connected with many he talks about  many facets of life briefly. He talked about the ongoing social set up which is so rigid that it's non changing notions and rul...
