Unemployable Engineer by Amit Deshpande

➡️Every year, thousands of engineering graduates pass out, yet many remain underemployed or completely unemployed. Why is that? Students pursue a professional degree hoping for a successful future, but most struggle to achieve it. Have you ever wondered why? Unemployable Engineer by Amit Deshpande addresses the issue of unemployability among engineering graduates in India, a complex, multi-layered problem shaped by various societal actors. It introduces the concept of a "psychological chakravyuha," a mental trap that prevents students from realizing their full potential.  He has shared the naked truth that our societal and education runs blindly on a fixed roll.  ✔️Parents push children into a rat race through unrealistic expectations and comparisons. ✔️Teachers, pressured by institutions, overburden students academically. Society judges students based on ranks, fostering unhealthy competition.  ✔️Peers intensify the pressure, making le...

Undercover, Under the Skin- A Sensual Lesbian Thriller You Can’t Miss in Deadlines vs Bloodlines by Afreen S

Deadlines vs Bloodlines by Afreen is a dark, slow-burning lesbian erotic thriller set in Tokyo’s underworld. The story follows Yuki Tanaka, a young reporter tired of small stories, who gets the big chance to go undercover and investigate a powerful crime boss, Akira Sato. But the moment Yuki sees Akira’s file, she feels something strange and unexplainable stir inside her. From there the story takes major tturns. Yuki enters Akira’s dangerous world through a glamorous nightclub filled with secrets and shadows. At first, she focuses on her mission, but soon, the line between acting and feeling starts to blur. I donot want to reveal the core story but every glance, every word, every touch between Yuki and Akira is charged with tension, desire, and risk. And I think this romance book will be enjoyed by Young Adult Romance lovers.  As Yuki dives deeper, she struggles to tell what is right or wrong, what is true or false. I liked the other characters in the story as we...

52 Pages of Wanderlust! Places Via Notes by Viswaprasad Raju

Do you like to travel? Which places are you planning to visit soon? When I was in school, our teachers encouraged us to write a travel journal during summer vacations, jotting down our experiences if we visited any place. Places Via Notes is a 52-page book published by BookLeaf Publishing. The author, Viswaprasad Raju, is an advertising professional and a talented travel sketch artist based in Hyderabad. The cover sketch, drawn by the author himself, looks beautiful and creative over the clean white background — very aesthetic and eye-catching. The book does not give much hint about its content at first. But as you start reading, you discover that it is a collection of notes written in a poetic style, where the author shares his personal memories from various places he has visited.  Some places are historically important, while others shine as amazing tourist spots. But I think I as a reader or someone who has not visited lets say a particular ci...

A Peek into Naturism: Discovering a Bold Life Through Pooja Gowda’s Story

As someone completely new to the concept of naturism, I picked up this book out of curiosity to learn about this type of lifestyle that I didnot know exists, especially because the author, Pooja Gowda, hails from my own country. It felt unusual yet intriguing to see someone Indian who is also a mother and wife openly talking about a lifestyle so rarely spoken of here.  I really liked her honesty, the small yet relatable details from her childhood and years growing up, things that shaped her overall personality and openness about self acceptance, the journey she had so far and  her inner struggles or how naturism provides her a path towards connecting with natural flow of life! I wanted to understand what drew her to it and what she experienced along the way. And reading about it in her simple write up was quite intriguing and connecting at one level. This book is deeply personal. Pooja doesn't preach or try to convince you, she s...

Exploring Twisted Futures and Mythic Realms in the book "Fractal Dreams That Unmake" by "Soham Guha"

Fractal Dreams is like a dream book for readers who love short stories of distant worlds where supernatural happenings take place with rich backdrops, and a play of dystopian worlds with newly created societies that reflect the dilemmas of the present we face with a blend of technologically advanced but crooked horrific futures.  I am very very happy to have picked this book up as I thoroughly enjoyed the stories that I have read from this collection!  You get 15 spine chilling thought provoking stories where in these future possibilities and layered complex realms, quite similar to our humanity on Earth, the societies are now challenged in every way by the misuse of its brain cells toward greed for power and shortsightedness. These fifteen stories blend sci-fi, fantasy, and horror to explore social issues like casteism, economic disparity, and totalitarianism. Set in dystopian worlds, they highlight survival, freedom, and humanity’s struggles amid envi...

The Affairs of Baxiganj by Subhobroto Mazumder

Recently I read quite an entertaining story! Its The Affairs of Baxiganj by rising author Subhobroto Mazumder !  I thoroughly enjoyed reading it for it is unlike any other thriller story. Why so, I am sharing next.  Its a gripping crime thriller set in a quiet small town that suddenly becomes the center of a chilling murder mystery. Written in simple and easy-to-understand English, this 125-page debut novel by Shubhobroto Mazumder—a geologist from IIT—packs a punch with its clever storytelling and witty narrative voice. Particularly humorous! I chuckled at various times.  From the very beginning, I was hooked by the way the author introduces Shubhom's background with a humorous and catchy tone. I was intrigued by the background of Asha as well, another important character in the story alongside of course Bordoloi, Rajnish and PK.  Get you copy from Amazon So, there are four friends who visit a club for fun, and all of them are unde...
