Tick Tock ( Rahul P Bhandare ) : A book that I truly loved !

Do you wear a wrist watch always ? Or sometimes only ? I never go outside without one. It's an integral part of my accessory. Tick Tock Pages : 27 Publisher : Become Shakespeare Author and artist : Rahul P Bhandare Price : 99/- Buy it here : https://amzn.to/2Oq5yGx [wpvideo Foix1ofC] Tick Tock : When I finished this book I had boosebumps that ran like waves on my skin. I didnot expect that kind of ending is coming ! Shall I say I read the book or shall I write I understood the illustrations ? For there are no words written , only pictures presented one by one in a series like we used to read comics while we were kids but without any sentences ! The story starts with someone buying a watch. I donot want to write the blurb too for it will spoil the real essence this book carries. I am spellbound how thoughtfully the lesson has been presented , how uniquely the book has been created . This book makes your mind work and that is what I love , some mind stimulation along with unique wa...

The Universe is Expanding and So Am I - By Carolyn Mackler ( Book Review )

Do you like Young adult romance comedies ? My first YA rom com was by Sophie Kinsella: Can you keep a secret and till this day it remains by favorite ! Now authoress Carolyn Mackler gets added to that list too. Her writing is really nice and witty. Once in a while when I feel too heavy with life's stress I pick up a YA like this to lighten up my mind and have some fun. This book is a sequal to the first book : The Earth , My Butt and Other Big Round Things. The cover is too pretty. Absolutely love it. And to my happiness it is can be read as standalone. You donor need to read the first part to understand this sequal. I loved the character of Virginia , totally cool 16 year old kid with her own style , only thing is she goes through a lot of body shaming from her friends and family who are too much into fat ness regime ! As a teenager she is going through a lot of stuffs to be true like she is getting more wide but cannot control her taste buds , her bestie is miles away and their f...

Shhh ! Don't talk about Mental health - By Arjun Gupta (Book Review)

Authored by Mr.Arjun Gupta this book talks extensively about the need to focus our attention towards the much needed topic that needs discussion of wellbeing of a person in is mental state . He has touched upon diverse subjects from neurology , psychology and social stigmas associated with this. From Sigmund Freud's eminent theories to szezes beliefs , he has blended the discussions and put his own conclusions in a way that creates a easy path for readers to understand what does WHO describe Mental health as. Why discussing mental health is not only about talking about various mind illnesses but helping each other out as a community and not outcast anyone on basis of this. I personally believe that like physical parts like digestive system, eyes, limbs which if gets ill we go to doctors easily and nobody tells us oh its just your broken leg just walk and it will get ok , but if we need to have a clinical diagnose of our mind's state people attach the taboo of being MAD and some...

What Mina Did (Geeta Menon)

What Mina Did is an emotional roller-coaster ride of an Indian woman .A fiction of 286 pages priced at 295/- From the preface, I thought it is a full murder thriller but within that it also touches upon various aspects of human life. The importance of better mental health is described through twists and turns and during such time how the support and unconditional trust between friends and family is needed if the mental issues arise from a devastating accidental case of loosing ones close loved one. The emotions that someone goes through such events by different members .When they themselves are healing even if they try helping others they feel trapped within their own mind. It even touches few important points that revolve around Indian culture of marriages and sexism of women. Lucid narration, Pace is bit medium to slow but it is divided into chapters which make it easier to complete. The character development is good. Cover is fine , looks mysterious. Overall a good book with thought...

Where will man take us ? ( Author : Atul Jalan ( Penguin Books ))

This book is one such non fiction read that will absolutely become one of the best books on your bookshelf if you like reading articles that enrich our knowledge. Author has invested into a diverse discussion touching vivid topics about science & technology along with information about evolution of Mankind and side by side about changing environment . Buy it here https://amzn.to/2xxLXZB The bright yellow colored minimally designed cover caught my eyes but the witty and quirky way of writing style specially made even the topics easily understandable that can feel heavy for non-science background students or some times students from science based academical background . It is a very interesting book which I really liked . It covers a lot of such subjects like Physics , maths , basic biology , even politics , cold war , present day social media , bitcoin economy , religion , etc that caught my immediate attention for having been studied Masters in Engineering myself i...
